Summer Reading is Coming!

We've got all kinds of fun things coming up this summer for teens.

First and foremost, our Summer Reading Program registration begins on May 31. Head into the library and write a book review on a book you've read and receive a passport and a coupon to a local restaurant. You'll use this passport throughout the summer to earn stamps by reading, writing more book reviews and attending events at

Join in the Great Scavenger Hunt Contest!

The Baright Public Library has joined in the nation-wide Great Scavenger Hunt Contest so that you can have the chance to win a $50 gift card to a bookstore of your choice! This is a contest that was created by Kay Cassidy, author of The Cinderella Society.

Here's how it works:

1) Find a book to read from the list of middle grade/tween books or young adult books. You could also search by author.

Get Ready for Gaming!

We've got two game events coming up!

The first will be Thursday, March 24 from 7-8:30 p.m. This will be our standard teen game night where you can play our Wii and board games, eat some snacks and bring your friends! Feel free to bring your own games, too.

Want to learn to be a screenwriter?

This month, Sally J. Walker, writer of 23 screenplays, will be presenting "Intro to Screenwriting Designed for High School Students and Teachers" at the Baright Public Library on Saturday, Feb. 19 from 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Holiday Happenings @ the Library

We've got three awesome events for December so mark your calendars!

First, our Teen Advisory Board's monthly meeting will be Thursday, Dec. 16 from 5-6 p.m.. Everyone that comes will need to bring a coffee mug because we'll be making mug cakes - fun, chocolate cake made right in a mug!
